Animal Reproduction has received extraordinary achievements in the last decades, improving the efficiency of processes and of their fertility outcomes. This has largely been the result of developments in Assisted Reproductive Techniques, which relevantly contributed to the increase in biologic efficiency and profitability of Animal Production, and to novel fertility therapy approaches and control strategies. The post-graduation course on Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART) aims to confer specialized knowledge and expertise, both theoretical and practical, for the professional intervention in the following areas: i) sustainable animal production, namely as techniques for the reproductive management and genetic improvement of livestock; ii) biology of conservation, namely supporting ex-situ conservation of endangered species and breeds, and reproductive programs for their maintenance in natural parks and reserves; iii) reproductive management of lab animal houses; iv) reproductive medicine, as methodologies for assisted procreation; v) biomedical research in reproductive and development scientific areas.
