Management of research data
Management of research data
In a context of digital transformation, research work is increasingly required to manage and handle data effectively. Many of the requirements are set by funding bodies. Our intention with this course is therefore to provide information on best practice and techniques for handling data to ensure optimum performance. Operations of various types will be tested, against a theoretical and conceptual background, to illustrate 4 basic levels in managing research data: collection, use, handling and storage.
Specially selected software packages will be used and tested throughout the course. The course will provide a toolset for future reference. Open-source applications or services will be preferred, so as to avoid costs for the users.
