The master on Ecology and Environmental Management aims to prepare qualified human resources, with inter-disciplinary skills to understand and manage natural ecosystems, and assure an environmentally sustainable development.
By the end of the course, students should have acquired skills and competences to develop autonomous scientific and technical work in the areas of Ecology and Environmental Management. Specifically, students should be able to:
. understand and interpret environmental laws and policies;
. understand and apply land planning and management tools;
. assess the environmental impacts of economic activities and develop schemes for their mitigation and compensation;
. support the development of standards and practices in environmental quality and management;
. assess natural and technological risks and develop programs for their prevention and mitigation;
. participate in conservation planning for biodiversity and for ecosystem services;
. participate in the planning and management of natural resources.
