The Degree in Philosophy provides mastery of concepts, techniques, problems, arguments and basic methods that characterize one of the oldest areas of human knowledge: Philosophy. It addresses questions about reality, knowledge, language, reasoning, society and action (artistic, ethical, religious values, among others).
This study programme aims to make its students acquire the concepts, technical skills, problems and basic methods that define one of the most ancient areas of human knowledge: Philosophy. Philosophy tackles general questions about reality, knowledge, language, reasoning, society and action. Different answers have been given to the questions that have been asked within the different traditions in Philosophy, both throughout its long history or in our present time. The desired outcome of this study programme is that students learn to identify, clarify and critically evaluate such answers.
This study programme prepares students for a more reflective life, and to be able to carry out advanced research in the area, as well as work at jobs that emphasise thought and argumentation, and the analysis of ideas, concepts and problems.
