The master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Developmental Psychopathology -Prevention and Intervention aims to offer solid scientific and methodological training for the professional practice of psychological intervention with children and adolescents and their families, in problems of mental health, neuropsychological and developmental problems, health promotion, adaptation and chronic disease management, risk and danger prevention, and for research in these fields.

Objectives 

The objective of the Master in Child and Adolescent Developmental Psychopathology – Prevention and Intervention is to provide a solid scientific and methodological training for professional practice in the field of psychological interventions with children and adolescents and their parents, in preventive and therapeutic contexts, and to research training in this field.
Specific objectives:
a) Acquire knowledge and skills for the assessment, conceptualization, intervention and research in clinical, health and community interventions with children and adolescents, starting from the study of the pathways of (in) adapted development, of risk and danger, and adopting a cognitive behavioral approach;
b) Promote the articulation between research and intervention practices, so as to favor scientifically informed and evidence-based interventions;
c) To promote a reflective attitude supported by the ethical and deontological principles that guide the psychological practice.

Career prospects 
The master's program prepares for psychological intervention in the field of clinical and health psychology with children, adolescents, and their families, in contexts of primary and differentiated healthcare institutions, social protection institutions, chronically ill associations, community intervention projects, schools and centers for leisure activities, and research.
