The Doctoral Programme in Refining, Petrochemical and Chemical Engineering (EngIQ) involves an unprecedented partnership in Portugal integrating five Portuguese Universities (University of Aveiro, University of Coimbra - Faculty of Science and Technology , New University of Lisbon - Faculty of Science and Technology , University of Porto - Faculty of Engineering and University of Lisbon - Instituto Superior Técnico), in close collaboration with the AIPQR (Association of Petrochemical, Chemical and Refining Industries ) and APQuímica (Associação Portuguesa da Química, Petroquimica e Refinação), since 2018

The doctoral program comprises a doctoral course (in the first year), with compulsory and elective course units, followed by a research work leading to the preparation of the doctoral thesis, developed in a business environment, and focusing on themes proposed by the companies associated with the program.
