Chemical Engineering develops new solutions for technical and scientific problems in the intersection of Chemistry and Engineering. The role of a chemical engineer is to investigate, design, conceive and operate systems for transforming chemical materials into final products, through chemical and physical processes, framed by economic, social, ethical and environmental constraints.
Develop the capacity for autonomous learning, as well as a critical and creative spirit, in order to prepare for their insertion in the professional world or providing the pillars for a 2nd. Study cycle that allows them to adapt in a technological universe in accelerated development and change.
Promote the use of specific chemical engineering computational tools to support the work of analyzing and designing new processes.
Teamwork will be privileged for the development of extensive reports, or executive summaries or extended summaries that can illustrate the monograph or laboratory work carried out. In parallel, students' oral
communication to their peers through long or pitch-type presentations will be encouraged.
It is intended that students at the end of the cycle have the appropriate competence for research on quality websites where they can retrieve essential information for the development of their future professional activity.
