As general objectives of this training action, it is intended that the trainees acquire a set of skills that allow them to master the theoretical and practical technical principles, the legal diplomas and the rules applicable to production in OAgric, namely
• Identify the legal diplomas and rules applicable to the production, processing and sale of foods obtained under OAgric
• Determine environmental impacts and manage waste/by-products resulting from the production, processing and sale of food obtained from OAgric
• Relate the characteristics of soil with the development of plants, mastering the fundamental practices of fertilization and combating erosion
• Identify the pests and pathogens of crops, controlling the application of resources usable in crop protection according to OAgric standards
• Select the most suitable species and breeds of animals for production in OAgric systems;
• Plan all animal management, with special attention to feeding, animal facilities and welfare, following all OAgric standards and recommendations
• Plan, in close relationship with veterinarians, the prophylactic scheme of the main animal diseases
• Audit OAgric food production and processing systems
