The course promotes assessment and psychoeducational and preventive intervention skills, while fostering pro-sociality in (cyber)bullying contexts
Sumário

The current increase in violence in educational settings can have a substantial impact on the lives of young people, as it occurs with increasing frequency and severity. In fact, the incidence of bullying and cyberbullying has been increasing among teenagers in Portugal at practically all levels of education in and out of school. Thus, a greater understanding by educational professionals about how young people interact and resolve conflicts is needed. It is essential to train professionals on best practices to provide motivating, safe, and inclusive learning environments in schools through emotional, motivational and behavioral regulation. Moreover, the educational context is an essential component for psychological well-being and the development of socio-emotional skills and pro-social behavior. In this context, this postgraduate course aims to contribute to an improvement in the professional effectiveness of psychologists and teachers, in the scientific, technical and deontological domains, as well as their personal and professional development. The course promotes psychoeducational and preventive assessment and intervention skills, promoting pro-sociality in the context of (cyber)bullying and lasts for one semester, covering a variety of thematic modules, corresponding to a total of 30 ECTS
