Even though the Universidade de Lisboa (ULisboa) has shut down all on-site activities, exams scheduled for the next few days will still take place on campus.
Universidade de Lisboa shuts down on-site teaching activities
Our students come first, and keeping in mind that some have been preparing for weeks for the exams that will take place in the next few days, it is vital to allow them to sit the exam, making sure that all security measures will be taken, says the Rector António Cruz Serra.
In other instances, in-person assessment through written tests will be postponed. When it comes to oral evaluations, project discussions or meetings, online assessment may be adopted.
The Rector António Cruz Serra made clear that ''the Universidade de Lisboa will not change from face-to-face exams to online exams. What we will be doing is to postpone the date of the exams that will have to be held in person at a later time'', advancing, furthermore, that the second semester will be anticipated and all the teaching will be done online: "This way, on the one hand, we ensure that students are busy and not on holidays, which is a contribution to prevent the pandemic from progressing further while, on the other hand, we gain time space to be able to, eventually, carry out assessments at the end of April".
