Remote sensing and GIS applied to research and spatial planning Numerical modelling of physical variables in GIS Applying geomatics to collect, organize and analysing geoinformation
Sumário

OBJECTIVES:
Knowing the principles and techniques for the characterization and spatial analysis of biophysical data. Geomatics for collecting, organizing and analysing geoinformation. Collecting and using remote sensing data. Using GIS for numerical modelling and mapping. Applications to spatial planning.
SYLLABUS:
I. Remote sensing applications for the study of the territory: physical principles of remote sensing; characteristics of the main programmes and platforms; applications; characteristics of satellite imagery; colour composites; radiometric and atmospheric correction; non-supervised and supervised classifications; object-based classifications; accuracy assessment.
II. Numerical modelling of physical variables using Geographical Information Systems: Digital terrain models; data structure and sources; construction of digital terrain models; morphometry and terrain analysis; spatial data analysis.
III. Applications of remote sensing and GIS to spatial planning.
